Getting ready for surgery.Colorful book with good graphics to provide basic talking points regarding pre surgical activities. However, it skips a lot of other basic and required activities involved. Would have liked close up drawings on equipment used, paperwork, charting by nurses, information on overnight stays ... And so much more... The more prepared children (and adults too) the more control the patient has to work with the medical team to manage things like fears, discomforts/pain, changes

Sweet story to help kids prep for surgery A gentle story of a young girl and her family navigating hip surgery. It guides kids through the process step by step from a child’s perspective. The pictures are colorful and fun and inclusive. I love that she has a party at the end!
