An enjoyable but silly series of stories.This is light reading. Although there are a lot of killings they can't be taken seriously. Each story is self contained but the plot makes more sense if each book is read in sequence. (But it does make any proof reading errors more obvious.) An elderly, widowed, retired senior police officer, Albert, travels with his dog, Rex, to various places in England and Scotland to sample, and if possible, learn how to make the culinary delights for which each town
