I feel bad giving this a one star, but it would be dishonest to give it anything else, because I feel like this book totally lied to me. It was advertised as “literary fiction with a subtle time-slip twist” but unfortunately it is absolutely not this at all. It is a badly written part-memoir, part unclear sci-fi with an unadvertised HEAVILY reliance on religious discussion and misogynistic representations of women. If I had known any of this I would have steered clear of this book. I don’t know
