Hiram's Journey

The Wilkinsons of South Carolina's low country know that strange and eerie things have happened there for generations, and Hiram Wilkinson is about to discover just how strange. Hiram, a 21-year-old Confederate soldier who's making his way home halfway through the Civil War, is wondering if he's considered a deserter or if he's been paroled after the siege of Vicksburg.
