Description

Ella Grace Banks has survived many horrifying things, including being experimented on by the Army's Supernatural Containment Unit. Perhaps that's why it's nearly impossible to scare her.But when she comes home from school early to an empty house, an old muscle car pulls up outside. It sets off every internal alarm she has. She is proven right when a man in a hoodie busts through her door. Ella scrambles to hide from the intruder until the police arrive. The true danger is revealed when she learns this man is wanted for the rape and murder of several girls across at least three counties in West Virginia. All of them with red hair...just like her.So after everything, she is being stalked by a serial killer who has a fascination with redhaired women.Great...just great. This man is unique as well. He doesn't have a scent the shifters can detect. Eli and Gramps can't figure out what he is, and it's not until an old friend comes to town they discover why.The stalker is a Chameleon. It can hide in the environment around it just like the animal it's named for.Now Ella has to fight off a creature that can't be seen or tracked while dealing with the ghosts it left behind. The clock is ticking, but how is she supposed to escape a predator she can't even see? It's a question they'll all have to answer and work together to keep her alive.

Another great book by Apryl Baker! I love this series and all the new people and creatures Apryl gives us along the way. I am excited that the series will continue with Ella, Eli, Gramps and more. I wish the books were longer but they do keep me wanting more. I love the both living reapers and their families. I hope Apryl feels the same way so she will keep writing the books. Can't wait for more!

Okay, let’s just get this out there—Ella Grace Banks? She’s my kind of heroine. Fierce, scarred, and damn tired of life throwing horror show after horror show at her and expecting her to flinch. Spoiler: she doesn’t flinch. Not even when a freaking serial killer fixated on redheads (hello, personal nightmare?) breaks into her house while she’s home alone. And of course the bastard’s got supernatural camouflage—because nothing’s ever just simple with Ella’s life. This book dragged me in like it ha

Suspenseful and a page turner I am so late finishing the book, and I almost didn’t read it.
