Was a gripping fantasy adventure (and I'm not the biggest fantasy reader) and a surprising game-of-thronesy first chapter. A fast paced, suspenseful dark fantasy that had me hooked from start to finish. The characters were all greatly varied and added extra layers and depth to the story as a whole blending well with the plot structure and the ethereal and fantastical setting within the entirety of the book.I read this book in two sittings and look forward to more works from this author in the future.
