This is a Mafia Romance. This book contains graphic content and explicit scenes (consensual) meant for the 18+ audience.Giordano Marzano is grieving. And his version of grieving? Revenge. Not only did the CEO and head of the Italian Mafia lose his father, but now the Irish Mob has hacked into all of his bank accounts. Luckily, he’s found just the right person to help turn things around. After unknowingly bumping into one of the most dangerous men, Antonella Vitale, a 27 year old journalist barely scraping by in Chicago, spends the last of her money on two coffees. This simple gesture is enough for Gio to fall hard and fast into obsession with Antonella.Giordano does everything in his power to win the skeptical woman over and is able to convince her to move in with him, no strings attached. Little does he know, Antonella’s also caught the eye of Cillian O’Diunn, the very Irish Mob leader who’s made his life a living hell. When Antonella finds out Gio’s true identity, she’ll have to make a difficult choice— will she side with Giordano, who has gone out of his way to help her through tough times, or the persistent Cillian, who hasn’t lied to her a single time?

I just unfortunately could not get into the story, but that could just be me, I’m happy to see other reviews disagree. It starts off fast and in the middle of the meeting without much context. I would have liked more of a history or something about the mfc at the begin
I received this book as an arc review and so happy I did. I really enjoyed reading this book as it was easy to follow and captivating your attention. I really loved how the author included a playlist, a page for name pronunciation, main characters description, and there’s translation at the footnotes, and the small little details of coffee cups. The main MMC and FMC, Giordano and Antonella, are just so sweet and can’t help but fall in fall with the two. The spice was really great and wasn’t over
