I thought this had the most absurd opening, and I almost dropped it immediately. There was some resurrection with brain-download learning, so that made some progress in ameliorating the opening. Still, if you accept the initial premise, it gets better.Then encounters with the aliens are pretty unbelievable, give how the author sets them up with so many advantages over the humans in technology and science that the humans are trying to understand, stretches belief that the humans could prevail and
a quick read This is almost a summary of a story. If you like short chapters, or skipping complicated battle descriptions, this is your book. (As an editor, lots of skipped words, wrong words and spelling errors. Just keep reading, don’t let them stop you.) The hero tries to do the right thing. He at least reads everything he can to train himself for the role he pretends to have. I will read book 2.
