Loved this book! I thought the setup was fab and I think Layla's predicament was so well drawn. I really felt for her! Owen was a swwoooony hero. The whole family felt real, with such a mix of personalities and backstories. I even found Spencer interesting, not a stock or two dimensional character. I was immersed in a Maine Christmas and I very much enjoyed it.This is a book to snuggle up with. ♥️
This is the first in this series that I've read and I believe that I would enjoy reading the previous books. This book was sweet and clean and very much Hallmark-esque. There was a bit of a love triangle which isn't really my favorite trope but I didn't hate Mr. Wrong. I mean, obviously he was Mr. Wrong but he also wasn't a horrible person. His life goals just didn't match up with Layla's. And it was obvious to reader and characters alike that she was a much better fit in Owen's life style. But
A marriage of convenience...but is this type worth it or is love worth more? You are introduced to two men and experience how each treats Layla...but the love for her nana may win overall...I found myself first angry at her initial choice and then surprised by the turn of events to interweave the characters!!(Kind of wish I had never read the blurb and just waited to be surprised when they arrived in Maine!) A clean, sweet romance... characters to love...and you think you know how it will end bu
