This book was born from a horrible moment in my life. That moment was the day after Thanksgiving when my wife and dog were attacked and my dog almost died. It is a story that demonstrates that as a person of faith, one never knows when God will intervene and provide you with moments of clarity and comfort. This book is a daily journal of 100 days as I experienced pain and sorrow and awareness and joy. Inspired by the poetry of Wendell Berry and influenced by the inspirational writings of C.S. Lewis, this is a document of my journey as I searched for the light. I certainly found it, but I also know it will dim again at times. And though at my darkest, I know I will never be without light. The light that God has imbued into every aspect of the world that surrounds us will resonate within my thoughts and prayers and will be a beacon that I will forever follow. I go through life now with a different way of seeing and I have a little black and white dog to thank for urging me to do so.
