Faith's Freckles is a picture book by Shermaine Perry-Knights and Baylei Hinds-Perry. It features a young girl, Faith, who has difficulties accepting her appearance; her freckles in particular. And kids at school bully her for them. We soon get to meet McKenzie, a friend, who has a lot of great words of encouragement for Faith. It’s a lovely story, and certainly has a lot of moments that I’m sure kids can relate to. It’s so nice to see a book about true friendship, and the love they have for each

Faith is a young girl that has freckles, fifty-five to be exact; she has counted them all. Faith hates having freckles, no one else in her school has freckles like her, and she is constantly being teased by the other girls. They tell her that she has dirt on her face and laugh. One girl, McKenzie, however, thinks Faith’s freckles are beautiful. Through McKenzie’s kindness, Faith learns to accept that her freckles are part of who she is and learns to love that part of herself.Faith’s Freckles by

Uniquely Me! I absolutely love the illustrations in this book, they are very vibrant and beautiful! This book will teach a child how to be self-confident in the skin that they are in, when they are dealing with being different than their peers. We all should have someone in our life to help us see things differently and support us through the difficult times. I highly recommend this book for any child that may be struggling with loving themselves, the way that God created them!
