Description

Angela Brown’s imprisonment is finally over, but she isn’t truly free. Her career in music is finished, and her reputation is ruined. When a handsome Maxwell man takes her by the hand and leads her out of captivity, she can’t let go. He’s her only source of comfort.Policeman Paul Cannon is tired of fighting a never-ending war he can't win. Fed up with rampant corruption and abuse of prisoners, he longs for peace and a life somewhere he can make a difference. He’s drawn to the mute kidnapping victim he freed, but, unlike him, she comes from a life of wealth and privilege. Even if she consented to be his, her father would never allow it.Just when Paul thinks he has bested the haughty Wallace Brown and gained the woman of his dreams, Angela’s talent proves to be the greater obstacle. Her music has the power to tear them apart.Although the story is old fashioned, The Maxwell Brides Series contains violence, adult language and themes, and descriptions of physical intimacy. It is intended for mature readers.Pre-order the rest of The Maxwell Brides SeriesHattie Finds TrustSophia Finds FaithElizabeth Finds LibertyFlorence Finds Passion

The sixth book in the Maxwell Brides Series. Angela Brown is rescued by Policeman Paul Cannon but her terror is not over. The story has drama, danger, kidnapping, villains, friends and family and love. The story is well written with a great storyline that kept me turning pages. That villain was really sick. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

this was a strong sixth entry in the Maxwell Brides series, it does a great job in working as a historical novel. The characters were waht I was hoping for and thought the characters acted realistic. I'm excited to read more in this series.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
