Eleven-year-old Jonathan Davis hates his special abilities. A lucid dreamer, his dreams foretell the future. His dreams also train him to learn things with which he initially struggles. Mocked and bullied at Meadow Creek Middle School for his peculiar mind powers, only his best friend, Ethan supports him. One night, exploring an abandoned church, they discover a stone inscribed with ancient symbols, a stone that covers the entrance to a portal that whisks the boys to a distant world in time and space. A place that holds a key to the future, a key only Jonathan can retrieve. That’s only the beginning of Jonathan’s strange and terrifying adventures.
Gazing into the night sky alone, Jonathan finds himself pulled into a peculiar world, one filled with robots, flying cars, and inexplicable building structures. And a duplicate of himself. He is enlisted by the twins from Ancient Greece, Apollo and Artemis, star children tasked with saving the planet from an alien race, to aid them in their quest. The danger escalates as the trio heads to Hora Prima—the mysterious clock in space that may be the secret to their survival. How can a kid known for being timid and reserved survive the coming battle with alien beings and vicious beasts? Will he ever find his way back to his family? And will he unravel the secret behind his incredible mind powers?
Join Jonathan in a dangerous race through space and time, a mind-bending journey where space is incoherent and time is multidirectional.
"Jonathan Davis And The Time Paradox: Destination Hora Prima" is a book I would love to sit down and watch on family movie night. There was time traveling, flying cars and trains, and unique characters that, based off the masterfully constructed images, would transform beautifully to the big screen. Heck, I could see my daughter watching a weekly episode on television. With space and time travel, they could easily air several seasons for kids to watch. My daughter's only complaint about the book
I loved this book!Honestly, loved reading this book. It is fascinating to see how the author weaved in a deep concept into a fun, adventurous and fast-paced story. The protagonist of this book has unique mind powers and he’s been bullied at his middle-school. The origin of his supernatural powers are not completely revealed unlike in other books, but that sets up the readers to anxiously await for the next installment. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. Strongly recommend this book!
‘Jonathan Davis and the Time Paradox’ is an excellently crafted sci-fi that has everything - adventure, mystery and travel to new worlds. Jonathan is very likeable as a main character and the story kept me turning pages until the end! I loved the blend of elements from ancient mythology with future tech, and how the extent of Jonathan’s abilities are not fully revealed by the end of book 1. Can’t wait to read the second in the series, would highly recommend!
