Description

What creates a compelling sermon? A good sermon makes the text simple for your congregation to understand. We all agree on this, yes? But too often, sermons are delivered like a stream of consciousness, barely following a coherent logic. This can make it exceedingly difficult for your congregation to connect with your sermon. One of the best ways to avoid a poorly constructed sermon—disorganized, complex, repetitive—is to use a specific sermon structure every time you write. This guide is designed to help you do just that.My name is Caleb Breakey, founder and CEO of sermontobook.com, where we help pastors around the globe turn old sermons into timeless books. I’m the author of Called To Stay, a #1 Amazon Bestseller in church growth, and was a finalist for the ECPA Christian Book Award. Through 12 Sermon Structures, I’m going to show you a usable blueprint to build a solid sermon foundation.

Mainly an advertisement for another book......by the same author. But after all, this one is free, so we can't complain too much. Even still this book would have offered more value and been a better advertisement if there had been more examples of each type. Some had no examples at all.

High Level E-BookThis book provides a very high level overview of the different types of sermons that can be preached. It does not go into any depth but refers you to the author’s more fully developed book: Sermon Crunch. There is a link in the book advertising a 50% off offer for Sermon Crunch but the link no longer works.

Great resource for Sermon building The book is an easy read. It explains in detail sermon structures with examples of what you need to write a sermon. I especially liked the examples he gave because they can be used to research a sermon outline. I would have liked a completed sermon outline with introduction and conclusion. Otherwise it is a great resource.
