America and the promises for the IrishA good story. I did not like Catherine at all and felt that Joseph was a meek mouse. He allowed his wife to make all the decisions in a time when women were more or less seen and not heard. I liked Una’s spunk and her love for her sister. Continuing writing.
Sometimes we get in the way of loveTo Irish immigrant girls land in America as poor as can be. You read as they learned of America and the people in it. Well they learn of love and what love is not. Great characters and story.
