Stranded in a village …
His only friend … his frog.
When Drezzyk’s master realizes he cannot grasp the concept of magic, he is abandoned.
Alone and afraid, and looking for a purpose, he wanders the city. Soon, he discovers that magic is banned. If he confesses that he’s a mage, even one who can’t perform the simplest spell, he’ll be put to death. When a new threat enters the city, he must decide whether to try to save them, or keep his gift a secret … if he can even access the gift that has often eluded him.
If you love an unlikely hero and tales of magic, you’ll love The Mage and the Freckled Frog because everyone should have a pet frog.

Actual Rating: 3.8 StarsBrief but adorable and entertaining, The Mage and the Freckled Frog provides a taste of fantasy for those who just want a whiff of the possibilities of the genre.Being that this story was so short, I did not feel as much of a connection to the characters as I wanted to/expected (although, that is usually my problem with shorter stories and novellas; I tend to expect certain things because I am so accustomed to reading novels).I would definitely recommend this to anyone wh
Wonderful entertaining listening 🎶🔰Another will written fantasy Sci-Fi adventure thriller short story by Craig A. Price Jr. about an apprentice mage and his frog. Both are learning magic while having an adventure. I would recommend this novella to anyone looking for a quick fun read. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa as I do because of health issues. 2022 😮⏰
A great introduction to Drezzyk. Apparently abandoned by his former master, Drezzyk sets out to find employment in a foreign city. Unfortunately, magic is forbidden in that city. So he and his freckled, red frog must escape. But, as he flees, the surrounding village is set upon by a crowd of villains. A cute, short tale worth reading.Action-packed. Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Inspirational. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.
