Scottish soldier Robert Stewart and Charlotte Roussard, a French young woman, meet shortly before the start of the Second World War. Phillip, the oldest child, becomes the man of the family as his mother slowly slips into a land of make believe. GOOD READINGTHIS BOOK HELD MY INTEREST FROM START TO FINISH. THE HARDSHIPS THE FAMILY WENT THROUGH BECAUSE OF ONE UNCARING PERSON.
Great family drama. Loved this bookI really enjoyed reading this book. A family split apart and all they went through for love. I will be reading more of this author!
