Book Review- Burning by Eve Paludan This is a book from the Brotherhood of the Blade series. I wasn’t sure what to think of this book. Rand is fighting vampires and then carried off by one. She dumps him on a cruise ship. I’m like…what? As you read you are introduced to the vampire slayers that recruit Rand to join them. It’s sad what he loses in order to do so. I think the storyline was interesting that centers around Rand and how his inventions are used to kill vampires.I just felt the story j
Ridiculous trilogyIt wasn't until I finished the last book of the trilogy that I realized that it wasn't actually written by JR Rain-author of the Samantha Moon series. That explained a few things. From the very first, with the story of how Rand comes to be on the cruise ship/Sam's involvement, I thought, OK, we're stretching things a bit here, but I'll play along...by the time I got to the part where 2 characters are killed by carbon monoxide poisoning, I was thinking, really?? I almost laughed
Just an FYI, Rain writes a forward in ALL books in his Vampire for Hire world, especially in ones he did NOT write personally. He makes it clear that these are NON-CANNON - NOT officially a part of Sam's world, but FAN FICTION. He, himself, enjoys reading the ideas of what others think could be part of this world. At first, it really frustrated me, even though I read his forwards. But, then I just went with the flow. Just enjoy the read and think of how it could fit into Sam's world. I have AND
