The author did a great job of writing two really detestable characters in this story, one being Alice’s ex and the other was a guy who ended up murdered. Problem was, Alice’s ex was high on the police suspect list and after all his demands, he had the nerve to want her to help clear him. I was really proud of how she stuck to her guns and didn’t cave when it cam to the ex—he was such a jerk! Alice and her new friends did have a nice Christmas then the murder was solved and another man who’d work
When I read the first of this series I was so taken with the characters and the plot that I ordered the whole rest of the series. So far each one has a hook at the end that leads you right into the next book. This author is new to me, but after the series I will be looking for more from her.
