A Great Cozy - 4.75 stars!The plot was fairly simple and I had my suspicion of who the "bad guy" was pretty early but this reminded me of one of the Columbo movies and I wondered how Maggie, Max and Tom would ever get their man. Nothing like honest journalism to aid the cause.The characters were very likeable but could be a bitter more fleshed out. Max was very easy to picture visually. This is the first in the series. The main character is Maggie. Maggie moves back home and opens a bakery. On the very first morning, only a couple hours in, a food critic shows up and after a couple of bites dies. Her new bakery is closed as crime scene and she is now the main suspect. Maggie decides to investigate so she can clear her name and bakery. The more she finds out about the food critic, the less she liked him. Now it seems someone is looking at her as the one to go.
