Wonderful. More introspective than usual Abby and Travis were always ment you know Nick is gone but you can feel him still there in the shadow. Carlton finally caught, politics of any kind can be so very ugly. Those who gave their all when they were called then betrayed by those ment to protect. War is never pretty but for our own to betray us is unforgivable.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Travis is a Seal, his team were set up and ended up dead, he knows who set them up but is biding his time and hiding in the mountains, earning money by writing under a pen name. Abby works for the publisher and starts looking into his pen name, when she finds out who he is, she's sent a threat, he was her brother's commander, he was one of the team who was killed. I love the start of what will most likely be an excellent series. I would expect nothing less from Ms. Delta James.The story was well thought out. I loved the suspense, intrigue and of course the steam to the eventual romance.I also loved Abby. Defiant, stubborn but not stupid. She knows when to lead and when to follow, and she is not afraid of danger, but is cautious.Travis, broody, grumpy but very skilled.
