I loved Halloween Land, and the clown was, without any questions, my favorite character. I am so happy that Kennedy gave us her very own origin story. I loved the whole story, but the ending sort of broke my heart a little. I'm so glad the clown found her place, though. 🖤🖤🤡🤡
Wow! I loved this book! It's a prequel to "Halloween Land," but it can be read as a standalone. Up front though: if "Halloween Land" was your grandma baking you cookies over a cup of tea, "The Clown" is finding your grandma on her knees, drinking out of the toilet bowl! It's shocking, bloody, gory, and totally nightmarish. Kennedy pulls no punches, starting with a queer romance story and then turning everything into a tale of non-stop carnage: the Halloween Land Carnival is nothing to joke about
fantastic story about a group of teenagers who visit a traveling carnival and end up fighting for survival against some of the carnival monsters. It's fast-paced and an enjoyable read.
