Its description of the life cycle of this little insect fascinated me, reminding me of all the times in my childhood that I enjoyed interacting with a caterpillar. Particularly the two times I was actually able to care for the little creature by placing the stem it was on into a jar, setting it on my windowsill, and watching each day as it became a chrysal

Cute short storyThis is a nice short story about a caterpillar discovered by a man who pays attention to it and finds what kind it is and what it needs to survive. It talks about the emotion of feeling like it’s a pet and how it feels when it flies away as a butterfly. I liked the fact that it wove a bit of science into it. It needs a bit of proof-reading and a couple words corrected. I recommend it for 4-7 year olds.

A cute upbeat short storyI tried this book after reading his book about gnomes that were in his aunts house. I really enjoyed that so I went looking for this book. It is a quick read with a very upbeat story. I recommend it.
