I love this author. I devoured his Max Springer series which I can't recommend enough. Shocking that Hollywood hasn't bought the movie rights. Bromance big screen franchise or Netflix series. Seriously.After five Max Springer books, the author introduced a new "series," although these stories stand alone. Stan Kolinski is a retired LAPD Homicide Detective. He and his wife, as fate would have it, attend a wedding at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Huntington Beach, CA and stumble upon a dead body! At

Another solid Stan Kolinski mystery; not as engaging as "Murder on Moonstone" but definitely worthwhile. In "Murder on Moonstone" (which refers to Moonstone Beach Drive in Cambria, CA), there is only one killer who has killed several people along the normally peaceful Moonstone Beach Drive. In "Homicide," there are two separate murders which the Huntington Beach (CA) police must investigate. One happens on hotel grounds; the other on the bike path on the other side of the Pacific Coast Highway.
