Trials of the Realm is truly amazing! From the second I picked it up I found myself constantly heading back for more after promising to put it down. It is an amazing story with plot twists, wonderful characters and shocking moments that leave you wanting more. I am truly in awe of the authors writing and can’t wait to see what happens next in the series. If you haven’t already, pick up a copy, you won’t regret it, I certainly didn’t.
Who's Really in Charge?Trials of the Realm is a pretty good book but suffers from comparison to The Hunger Games series. Although the characters were likable, they were nothing like the heros of that series.I'll give the author points for trying and creating an interesting world in which to set the story, however, I think her efforts would have been better off doing a totally different story.
When I first picked up 'Trials of the Realm' I wasn't too sure how I'd feel about it. Generally speaking, it isn't a genre I read much of. Imagine, then, my suprise when I found myself staying up later to read chapter after chapter, hungry for answers and a need to know more about this world Stabler has created.She knows how to leave the reader wanting more and exercises this skill with precision, giving you just enough on every page to keep you turning to the next.
