Kindle Unlimited read. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and it's host of characters and I am looking forward to the next in the series.There is some emotional angst, but it is played out realistically. The couple actually end up communicating well despite a few bumps, which those still felt relatable to me and not drama for the sake of it. One of our couple also seeks therapy for her issues. I appreciate a book that doesn't just think love automatically equals a perfect relationship. I felt like
My friend lent me this book and to be honest.. I didn’t really like it. The characters aren’t necessarily bad characters but they’re written in such a simple way that you don’t really get a grasp of them. The author did not do a good job at developing her characters in my opinion. They were just really… boring? It could also just be me but I’m getting so tired and bored with the whole guilty widow (is there a word for the lesbian version of this?) plot. Maybe if this book had brought something s
It's hard to get into a book when you just don't like / can't connect with the MC (Laura). She just didn't rock my boat and I didn't trust her. The other MC (Dylan) was a star so I had to double blink to see the two together. Sad, really.
