After escaping the nightmares of The Programme, Alex and Cooper try to settle into life in The Resistance. But old wounds run deep and Alex knows that Director Phillips will stop at nothing in his pursuit of revenge.
With the arrival of familiar faces, Alex learns of the fallout of their escape. As The Resistance hear more of Alex and Cooper’s time in The Programme, the repercussions erode the foundations of the very place providing them sanctuary.
But are new friends all that they seem?
Upon learning of places even worse than The Village, Alex and Cooper put their safety into question to rescue those they love.
Deep in the forest, within Facility Two, the true horrors of The Programme begin to emerge.
Are they ready for a truth worse than anything they ever thought possible?
"Aye, mate" - part 2.This is not as good as the first book and you do have suspend your disbelief far more, Alex has developed into a fighter in this one (inexplicably).I have many questions. Why is the only car brand Audi? Why is there so much detail about an RS6 in particular? Why are the Reds completely villainous or absolutely heroic, is there not a middle ground? The end was good, I s'ppose.
Originally I only started this series because barely anything is ever set in scotland and that where I’m from. But omg I couldn’t put my kindle down while reading this trilogy. I was very pleasantly surprised and I’m glad I read it. Don’t get me wrong it’s pretty messed up but that’s what makes a good book sometimes. The story line was really good and even though it was YA. The descriptions of where the characters were and stuff was so real you could picture it and the whole story was gripping a
Disappointed. It felt like such a character change for Alexis, I enjoyed her character development in book 1. I got so frustrated with the shall we tell cooper about Adam shall we not!? The twists didn’t shock me. I JUST WANTED TO READ THE LETTER FROM ADAM. I was really hoping for some character development from cooper in this book but it fell short. I will read the final book and just really hope it fills all the gaps I felt for this book.
