DNF at 12%. The blurb makes it sound like she's a strong independent woman but within a few minutes of meeting one of her mates she tells him all about her past except that she was (possibly, it kind of just skimmed over this) raped because she felt he "wouldn't respond well" to that information-no shit. After meeting the rest of the brothers and their father she passes out and they proceed to kidnap her. She wakes up and starts crying because she won't ever be able to get back to her old life.
DNF @ 44% Man I tried. The feminist in me is screaming right now. I knew that this book was going to be meh when, on all of page 3, the narrator explained that the MC was immediately and inexplicably moved to jump a dude's bones. Page 3, ya'll. Now to be clear, I don't like it when an author drags it out ad nauseum, but come on... When little miss #ICanDoItMyself turns into a doormat in the space of 2.5 seconds... I'm done. I was actually starting to like the boys and the premise was interesting
"“Relax, bros.” Luc chuckled. “I smelled her virginity.” Hakon, Drasko, and Rone heaved simultaneous groans of relief."WTF?????Going against the FMC's No/Stop? Check! (Edit: Not rape, talking about people making choices for her against her wishes. She has zero say.)Stockholm syndrome? Check! Virginity smelling? Check!DNF @ 15%
