I was given this book in an exchange for a fair and honest review. In general terms, I did enjoy the story. The setting was marvelous - I'm a huge science fiction/space nerd so any time a story takes place on a strange planet makes me tingle with joy. I enjoyed all the scientific aspects of the story, how Kara was constantly accumulating data while she was with the Maruts and the explained differences between the tribesmen and the colonists. I liked the world and conflict between the races, I liked the differences between humans and Maruts and the Marut culture. And I certainly loved the adventure and world setting.
