With stories (and a few poems) ranging from 100 to 1500 words, this collection is ideal for reading during a coffee break, or when you donβt have much time to spare. While some of the tales incorporate themes of the paranormal, suspense, or day-to-day life, many reflect The Lazuli Portals' themes of spiritual awakening, the metaphysical, and inspirational (or visionary) fiction. Some of the shorter stories are:Yin and YangThe Crystal CaveThe Day Edward Met HeleneSun, Sea and SphinxA Cordello MemoryThe Angel ThinksThis book also contains four longer stories of around 1000-1500 words:The Restoration of Conover House SunriseDelights of the Dart (set in South Devon)The Haunting of Melton GrangeNOTE: The authors have intended that this small ebook remain free in digital format. This really is short story writing at its best. Jam-packed full of beautiful images, great dialogue and layers of meaning, these stories fire the imagination. They come in bite-sized pieces too - Three Matches, Dancing Light and The Crystal Cave - with both writers, Joanna Gawn and Ron Dickerson giving their very different but equally beautiful interpretations of the same title. My personal favourites though were the short stories themselves - The Restoration of Conover House is simply beautiful
I absolutely loved this collection of short stories, especially the ones involving Keira and Jason from The Cordello Quest! Joanna & Ron's writing styles compliment each others very well and bring forth something truly unique! There were plenty of stories in the book covering a wide range of themes. Because the stories are quite short it is the perfect book to pick up even if you only have a couple of minutes to spare, or like me you could read it in one sitting.I look forward to reading more by
