A highly original work that impresses as much for the more fantastical elements as it does the human drama that plays out. CharactersThere are two characters - former Detective Tony Hetfield and "Dr. Magic." Each of them are very unique and everyone else feels like lifeless blobs that are just filler for the story constructed around these two characters. I really liked the inner strength and determination of Tony. He has to be one of my favorite characters written by this author.
