I was very impressed with this book; could hardly put it down. It follows the adventures of a guy who accidentally lands himself and the majority of his town into the future and then follows him through the next several years as he makes a life for himself and encounters unforeseen dangers. But he soon discovers that his loss of freedom is the least of his problems. Nightfall felt like it was part of a much larger story crossing generations and historical eras, and a couple times it made reference to events and people that were outside of the book.
