Find cheap college textbooks with Book Deal Finder - Search Help

With Book Deal Finder, you can search for and find exactly the right textbook. It's important that you know information such as edition, author, and/or ISBN in order to ensure that what you're purchasing is the textbook required for your college class. It's not unusual for a class to use one edition of a book for one semester and a different edition of the same book for the next semester.

Use the ISBN data as the absolute best way to find exactly the book you are searching for. Each book and even each edition of each book is given a unique numeric identifier. If you use ISBN, you're searching for only that exact book and edition.

Otherwise, if you don't know the ISBN, it's best to search using multiple fields, "Title" and "Author" for example. This will provide the most specific results, the narrowest search. However, since the search looks for books, which fit ALL your criteria, if any one field is incorrect, you may not get any results. In that case, enter information for fewer fields and try again.

Textbook Title: Enter the exact title or keywords from within the title. Leaving out words like "the" or "and" will work, too. If you search using a complete title and can't find what you're looking for, try again with fewer words, such as omitting the edition number (often included within the title) or remove the subtitle from your search.

Textbook Author: Enter the author's first name followed by their last name. Or, sarch only for their last name. For books which were written by co-authors or groups of authors, search for just the first author listed, searching for only one author at a time. (If you search for multiple authors, the search engine may not find your book.) For books without a listed author or editor, search using a different field.

Textbook Keywords: These words are words related to the topic or subject of the book, but which are not necessarily within the book's title. Enter one or more words, separated by commas. Sometimes book publishers include keywords with their data and sometimes they do not, so "Keywords" is the least accurate field by which to conduct a search. If you don't know the title or author, or if you're just browsing for books, then this field could give you the broadest selection of results.

Textbook ISBN: Enter the exact ISBN (International Standard Book Number). Books published since 2007 (and many before) are a 13-digit number. Books published prior to 2007 may use a 10-digit ISBN number. The most common error here is simply mistyping the number. Double-check your number and try again.
